As an Integration Engineer, you will understand Blend’s platform and the client’s needs to help deliver a solution that exceeds expectations. You will work hands on with our customers and internal teams from across the company to rapidly implement and enhance our product offerings. The ideal candidate is excited to work both independently, and as part of a team in a fast paced, highly visible role. (Similar titles may include: Solution Architect, Software Consultant, Technical Analyst, Implementation Engineer, or Professional Services Engineer).

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for supervising delivery of client integrations of the Blend platform, additional enhancements, and other project engagements
  • Manage and grow the existing team to successfully scale with the volume and growth of sales and complexity of Blend’s technology and evolving product
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Engineering, Account Management, Product and Deployments to solution and scope client engagements
  • Learn and master Blend products in order to solve customer technical challenges as an integration and technical lead
  • Consult with mortgage lender technical resources to produce integration design documents as a technical lead
  • Estimate the effort required to integrate Blend’s Marketplace API
  • Collaborate with Blend Product teams to share customer requirements, influence product priorities and further enhance Blend core product features
  • Use object-oriented and functional programming languages to integrate and configure Blend products at mortgage lenders throughout the US (e.g. Python, Javascript, C#, SQl, etc.)
  • Provide Tier 3 PagerDuty technical on-call support and triaging during and after customer deployments

Requirements

  • 5+ years senior operations/delivery experience in large, well-regarded enterprises
  • 5+ years relevant integration experience using advanced OOD/OOP and messaging for n-tier applications as a hands-on programming resource, not solely architecture
  • Experience in consulting or an equivalent customer facing role
  • Experience with managing third party API dev shops
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and specifications clearly and efficiently
  • Ability to handle technical leadership tasks (solution design, estimating) and adapt to various work settings in an advisory/leadership role
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional results
  • Ability to work with a variety of customers from different departments in large and small groups
  • Strong personal initiative and ability to execute with minimal oversight. Experience working in a dynamic environment wearing many hats

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience deploying enterprise software solutions such as Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Guidewire, Oracle, etc
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry
  • Experience with various implementation methodologies including but not limited to Agile, Agile with Scrum, Waterfall, etc
  • Experience with change management processes of large enterprise organizations
  • Familiarity with enterprise database technologies such as ETL, and ability to track customer behavior through data-driven metrics
