The Harness Software Delivery Platform includes Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Efficiency, Continuous Verification, and Continuous Features. The platform is designed to help companies accelerate their cloud initiatives as well as their adoption of containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Amazon ECS.


Harness recently raised $115 million in financing, reaching a valuation of $1.7 billion in just three years after launching from stealth. With a total of $195 million in financing to date, Harness investors include IVP, Menlo Ventures, Unusual Ventures, Alkeon Capital, Battery Ventures, Citi Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Sorenson Capital, and Thomvest Ventures.


The VP Alliances is responsible for driving business impact through the development and execution of an integrated Alliance strategy. The role will lead all functions of Alliances - including channel partners, system integrators, cloud providers, and technology partners. The VP Alliances will be responsible for building and iterating on a comprehensive and cohesive strategy where success is building the momentum across all functions to accelerate sales efforts, bring in net new business, and improve customer adoption with our partners. This role will report directly to the CRO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and execute agreements with strategic alliance partners to accelerate our 3 year revenue growth plan
  • Represent Harness with our key strategic alliance partners
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the implementation of alliance go-to-market plans to enable rapid scaling and deliver incremental new revenue
  • Own results of Alliance execution, and identify areas for improvement and step-factor growth
  • Manage a high performing global Alliances team
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, services, customer success, and training/enablement as we build out an A+ Alliance go-to-market motion.

About You

  • 10+ years in channel/alliances, with Global Alliance and Strategic Partnership focus, and 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Established network of executive level contacts within the public cloud, DevOps, and open-source communities
  • Relevant exposure in dev/devops space or cloud provider platform experience and deep understanding of the space
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to build and establish go to market plans, and can translate alliances needs/requests to business impact and asksAnalytical aptitude and data-led decision making process
  • Agile problem solver, with entrepreneurial find-a-way mindset in less structured environments
