Job Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Arrives before business picks up for the day to conduct the “morning walk” of all spaces. This is the most important daily task of the Workplace team. It serves as the front line to ensure the spaces are clean, free of hazards, and vendors are doing their job. 
  • Works with reception to field all Workplace requests submitted through portals and emails 
  • Submits building requests through proper channels and follows up to ensure completion 
  • Supports/owns event planning and management
  • Responsible for assisting Workplace Experience Manager with catering and pantry vendor management 
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving (both employee and business mail)
  • Oversees the day porter scope and building janitorial team scope (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) ensuring spaces are clean 
  • Provides support to the Workplace Experience Manager on employee moves (communicating move procedure, dispensing supplies, providing logistical move assistance and post move support for employees (before, during, and after hours)
  • Responsible for office supply orders, inventory, and stocking 
  • First aid and CPR certified and holds an emergency warden position 
  • Cross trained to provide “out of office” support for the Workplace Experience Manager ensuring daily operations run smoothly (cross trained - vendor management, move management, event management etc.) 
  • Cross-trained to provide “out of office” support for reception including covering their lunch breaks to ensure reception is never left unattended

Qualifications

What You've Done: 

  • 3+ years in hands-on Facilities or Workplace function at a tech start-up (ideally)
  • Experience with event setup or coordination
  • Working knowledge of standard computer applications including G-Suite & Slack

  • Strong customer focus and highly resourceful - an “anything is possible” attitude
  • Flexible hours and able to occasionally work after-hours for emergencies
  • Highly collaborative with a great degree of interpersonal savvy and professionalism
  • Able to manage ambiguity with ease
