Workplace Manager
About the role
Chime’s Workplace Manager leads the team responsible for operating our offices in San Francisco, Chicago and Vancouver; this team creates the welcoming environment that serves as home base for Chimers. In our work we focus on employee experience, and we say we are Chimer-obsessed! This is an amazing time to be in Workplace, as the challenges that arose over the past year have given us the opportunity to rethink the purpose of place; in this role you will tackle a wide range of interesting problems, and help to define the future of Workplace Experience at Chime.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- In partnership with other leads on the Real Estate + Workplace team, develop the vision for Workplace Experience at Chime
- Manage and develop a distributed team of office managers and coordinators
- Manage workplace operations, including reception; mailroom services; facilities maintenance; and moves, adds and changes
- Own the relationships with janitorial and facilities managed services vendors
- Manage day-two construction and tenant improvement projects
- Oversee the workplace tech stack: SpaceIQ, Teem, Envoy, Density
To thrive in this role, you have
- 8+ years in the Workplace Operations space, with some experience at a company with 1500+ employees
- Experience building and mentoring distributed teams
- Strong customer focus; hospitality or retail experience is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management
- Familiarity with Workplace Technology applications; Chime’s tech stack is SpaceIQ / Teem / Envoy / Density
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Resilience, and comfort with ambiguity: we move quickly, and change is inevitable
- Tech company experience strongly preferred
