Payments Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY (onsite)
Base Salary Range: $127,000 to $297,000

What You'll Do:

As a Payments Infrastructure Engineer at X, you will share the responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance of the Payments live serving infrastructure and database systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design, implementation and operation of fully-automated fault-tolerant infrastructure systems using modern container native solutions. 

• Providing support to other Payments engineering teams in the form of infrastructure feature requests, live system debugging and on-call support.

• Performing scheduled maintenance and cross-region fail-over operations for production systems.

• Maintaining security and reliability standards at all levels of the Payments infrastructure and application platform.

• Working with 3rd party auditors, consultants and vendors to ensure all technical compliance requirements and industry security best practices are in place at each level of the infrastructure systems.

Who You Are:

We're looking for exceptional engineers who are passionate about our mission and have a strong desire to build the most secure and reliable systems possible. The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years software engineering experience with Golang / Python / Shell 

• Experience building cloud infrastructure with Terraform in GCP or AWS (CodeBuild, EC2, ECR, EKS, Lambda, RDS and VPC) 

• Experience with RDBMS storage systems and large scale data solutions (MySQL, Presto, S3, Athena, BigQuery) 

• Security first mindset
