Job Summary

As a People Business Partner, you will be responsible for driving People success across your assigned business units or groups. By leveraging the expertise and resources of the wider People team, you will proactively identify opportunities to foster a positive, engaging, and high-performance employee experience. Success in this role will be reflected through key indicators such as increased engagement and retention, effective performance improvement, a strong culture of recognition and feedback, and the development of leadership and management capability across the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a partner and advisor to business groups, offering guidance and support in areas such as performance management, leadership coaching, manager development, organizational design, and employee relations. Partners with VPs, senior leaders, and managers, depending on the organizational structure.
  • Partners with the People team to analyze data trends and metrics, using insights to shape proactive policies, programs, and solutions. Highlights key patterns or concerns to the Director, Global People Business Partnerships.
  • Stays informed on legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, mitigating legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Escalates cases to Senior People Business Partners, the Director, Global People Business Partnerships, and/or external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Support with LOA administration and other regulatory needs for the United States employment group as necessary.
  • Works closely with leaders and teams to enhance workplace culture, strengthen employee engagement, and drive retention and productivity.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Escalates to more Senior People Business Partners, Director, Global People Business Partnerships and/or external Legal when needed.
  • Combines strategic thinking with a hands-on mindset—balancing long-term People initiatives with immediate operational demands.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor during periods of organizational change, supporting leaders in driving transformation, managing through ambiguity, and maintaining employee engagement throughout change initiatives.
  • Collaborates with global colleagues to promote an inclusive, effective, and high-performing workplace across all regions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proactively stay informed on HR trends and best practices, recommending continuous improvements where appropriate.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to navigate and interpret evolving information.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using platforms such as Lattice and Dayforce (HRIS).
  • Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Driven by results; capable of delivering end-to-end projects and achieving outcomes efficiently and within deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong sense of urgency and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address moderate to complex issues; resourceful and proactive in seeking both internal and external solutions.
  • High emotional intelligence, with strong instincts, sound judgement, and a trusted presence.
  • Comfortable managing a high-volume workload in a fast-moving setting; hands-on and adaptable, with the ability to seamlessly shift between strategic and tactical responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of broad HR generalist experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a People Business Partnering role, supporting frontline and mid-level managers and leaders.
  • Extensive experience across core HR disciplines, including organizational design and development, leadership and change management, performance management, employment eligibility and right to work compliance (VISAs, E-Verify, I-9s), and employee relations.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams, particularly across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Proven experience in commercial awareness – business strategy, financials, market drivers to align people strategies.
  • Prior experience working remotely.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A recognized professional qualification in HR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in partnering with specialist departments in a People Business Partner capacity.

Travel

  • Travel may be required for business purposes as needed to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the role.
