We are looking to hire a Sr Director, Global Program Management to be located in Michigan, USA reporting to our VP PMO Strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing global SOPs, KPIs, technology, and/or product platform, while providing guidance, direction, and support to Project Managers assigned to programs/projects. This role ensures robust governance and fosters strong collaboration among various functional areas involved in the project(s), ensuring effective planning and execution of project activities. Additionally, the role emphasizes the PMO's responsibility for driving transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and align with strategic business objectives.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the PMO framework, ensuring compliance and alignment across the Power Business while facilitating communication and knowledge sharing.
- Define customer expectations and ensure they are clearly communicated across Flex Organizations, collaborating globally to assign project managers and resources efficiently.
- Oversee project team performance, mentor Project Managers, and promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
- Drive operational efficiency by establishing best practices, leading transformation initiatives, and adapting processes and technologies to meet organizational goals.
- Regularly monitor PMO initiatives through KPIs, provide training, and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that reflect current workflows and promote adherence to established practices.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, sciences or business; MBA is preferred.
- Typically requires 9 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience.
- Demonstrated experience Global Program Manager.
- Experience building relationships while working directly with customers.
- Experience managing a local team and Experience with Finance/Quoting.
