The Principal Product Manager will lead the strategic direction for data ingestion at Attentive, ensuring reliable and actionable data for various applications, while collaborating with multiple teams to standardize and scale ingestion efforts.
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager (PPM) to lead the strategic direction of our Data Ingestion group at Attentive. In this role, you’ll own the vision and roadmap for how data enters the Attentive ecosystem — ensuring it is accessible, reliable, and actionable for downstream use in machine learning, personalization, segmentation, and reporting. As an AI first martech company, our data layer is the foundation of our product offering and the key lever to provide differentiated performance for our clients.
As a Principal PM, you will operate at a high level of scope and impact — setting strategy, aligning teams across the company, and driving scalable platform investments. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Partnerships, Sales, CS, Data Science, and external partners to define the future of Attentive’s data ingestion infrastructure.
Attentive’s data ecosystem depends on scalable and trusted data ingestion pipelines. As the Principal Product Manager for Data Ingestion, you will lead a cross-functional effort to standardize, optimize, and scale how we capture, ingest, and validate critical data from a variety of external and internal sources.
Why Attentive needs you:
- Data Ingestion - building integrations with external systems (partners, warehouses, file-based imports).
- APIs - managing high-throughput APIs for external and internal data ingestion as well as the Marketplace and documentation associated
- User & Subscription Data - unifying how user profile and behavioral data is onboarded and made segmentation-ready
- Contract Integration Developers - guiding product requirements, prioritization, communication, and execution for multiple external contractors
- Data Infrastructure - providing the right infrastructure and processing tools to ingest and store data with the right level of speed, data freshness, and flexibility
What You'll Accomplish
- Define and evangelize the long-term vision for data ingestion at Attentive across various tools and applications (APIs, integrations, data warehouse connections, SDK, etc.). A key responsibility will be taking on platformizing our ingestion technologies to drastically reduce the LOE required to build and maintain new ingestion applications.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to increase the scale, reliability, and observability of data pipelines that serve mission-critical teams and features.
- Partner with Engineering leadership to define technical strategy, platform capabilities, and investment priorities.
- Establish ingestion-specific data governance policies and quality standards to ensure completeness, accuracy, and trust.
- Drive adoption of data quality monitoring, cataloging, and observability tooling across ingestion surfaces.
- Partner with go-to-market roles to drive adoption of various ingestion applications and build playbooks to help clients/gtm identify which applications are best based on client needs
- Proactively identify bottlenecks in ingestion workflows and invest in foundational improvements to unlock downstream innovation.
- Influence company-wide product decisions where data ingestion plays a central role (e.g., personalization, customer data activation, analytics).
Your Expertise
- You have 7+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of leading data platform or infrastructure products.
- You have experience owning complex, distributed data systems and understand the challenges of scaling ingestion for real-time and batch data. You are excited by the challenge and have a technical background
- You are skilled at balancing long-term platform investments with short-term feature delivery.
- You’re a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams including driving strategic alignment with the executive team.
- You are deeply analytical and data-informed, using metrics to set priorities and measure impact.
- You are comfortable leading initiatives that span multiple teams and functions, with experience aligning leadership around shared goals
You'll get competitive perks and benefits, from health & wellness to equity, to help you bring your best self to work.
For US based applicants:
- The US base salary range for this full time position is $235,200 - $275,000 annually + equity + benefits
- Equity is a substantial part of the total compensation package
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
