Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
The Opportunity
Success in the cloud is one of Atlassian's top strategic priorities. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Fastshift, our flagship program dedicated to migrating customers from Data Center (DC) environments to the cloud. You'll help customers seamlessly adopt Atlassian's full suite of cloud offerings, tackling some of the most complex technical challenges in the industry-including legacy setups, third-party integrations, security, privacy, and performance.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Atlassian's cloud platform. You'll drive the development of scalable backend platforms and intuitive self-service portals, ensuring a frictionless migration experience for our customers. You'll also define how customers can leverage AI to boost productivity, championing the adoption of Atlassian's AI-powered products.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and Own: Take end-to-end ownership of the most challenging technical programs, from design through launch and ongoing operations.
  • Architect Solutions: Design scalable, production-ready solutions and set architectural standards that guide the organization.
  • Drive Impact: Identify and resolve blockers across the Atlassian ecosystem, ensuring a stellar cloud experience for every customer.
  • Collaborate Broadly: Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and GTM to define and execute the vision for Fastshift.
  • Champion the Customer: Maintain a customer-first mindset, ensuring the well-being of our customers and partners is at the heart of every decision.
  • Be a Thought Leader: Serve as the subject matter expert on migration strategies and AI-driven productivity enhancements.

What We're Looking For
  • Technical Depth: 10+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade platforms and systems, with expertise in cloud, data, ecosystem, or experience platforms.
  • Cloud & AI Fluency: Deep understanding of cloud platform architecture and the latest in AI/ML technologies.
  • Product Passion: A strong drive for product design and delivery, with the ability to balance strategic vision and technical execution.
  • Influential Leadership: Proven ability to influence and align leaders across multiple functions, with exceptional executive presence.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Outstanding communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • High Energy: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities with resilience and enthusiasm.
