Associate Product Manager, Gaming Peripherals

General Purpose:

As an Associate Product Manager for gaming products you will be a key contributor in the fast-paced HID product group helping us continue delivering award winning world-class peripherals and accessories to support gamers. As a passionate PC peripheral and gaming expert, you will leverage your knowledge to define products and roadmaps to delight gamers, analyze market data and consumer feedback, cross-functionality drive all aspects of NPI from ideation through go-to-market, and support the global marketing and sales organizations.

 

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Define product requirements and own the product roadmaps for gaming accessories, product customization, and other potential gaming product lines
  • Contribute to peripheral product planning and assist on other product as needed
  • Research and analyze gaming market trends, consumer sentiment, and sales data to define product features
  • Collaborate with the R&D Team and with suppliers to meet technical requirements
  • Own the hardware NPI process with engineering, procurement, and planning to ensure the product meets design, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Write detailed documentation to define all product attributes and functions, market justifications, positioning, and messaging
  • Work with all facets of marketing to help drive the go-to-market plan with clear direction for messaging, content, assets, and launch strategy
  • Act as the product expert and perform training sessions with the global sales, marketing, and technical support teams

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science fields preferred. MBA a plus
  • 2+ years’ experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or other product focused roles – Consumer gaming products preferred
  • Solid foundational knowledge of PC gaming and peripherals with an understanding of technology and trends
  • Experience with market research, data analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strongly motivated team player able to drive deliverables cross-functionally across the entire organization and an expert multitasker
  • Detail oriented with strong communication skills with a drive to create well defined products with clearly articulated benefit
