The Opportunity:

Every day, UserTesting produces thousands of hours of video and audio of real human feedback, along with usage data from websites and mobile apps, topologies of those websites and apps, and much more. We are working hard on unlocking the value of all this for the benefit of both our customers and our test participants. 

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Platform Product Management to join our Product and Engineering team. We are constantly innovating our market leading SaaS Products and need a strong product leader to join our rapidly growing Platform team. In this role you will be leading a team of Product Managers for the platform, defining and executing on our platform strategy. 

Your objective is to deliver a world class platform that empowers:

• our application developers to build applications that redefine how organizations get human feedback
• our partners to innovate with us and offer seamless experiences to our joint customers
• our customers to support all their workflows by integrating to our capabilities and data
• our customer success and support teams to better serve our customers

You will be collaborating across the company and across our ecosystem to lead these efforts. Of particular importance is making data and machine learning capabilities available to application developers and exposing our platform capabilities to internal and external developers through easy-to-use, powerful, and well documented APIs.

Besides defining and delivering the platform, your goals include developing your team members and evangelizing a platform strategy internally and externally. As a member of the Product and Engineering leadership team, you are a key player in shaping the future of our product and our organization. As a member of the company’s leadership team, you are part of guiding UserTesting to continued success.

The right candidate is an experienced Product Management leader who is passionate about enabling developers, both internal and external. You can define and deliver products while building high-performing teams and also invest time in growing and coaching individuals.

You are a self-starter, a hands-on leader with extensive experience in creating and implementing solid product management practices and closely partnering with Engineering to plan and deliver as planned. Direct experience with agile methodologies, continuous deployment, and test driven development are essential.

As a member of the Product and Engineering team at UserTesting you will be part of a passionate group of people that works effectively as a distributed team. You will receive support for your personal and professional growth including a twice annual Product and Engineering meetup where our teams work (and play) together around themed activities to advance our product, platform, and people.

Managing a team of Product Managers, you will build a product management culture that ensures product/market fit and designs quality from the beginning and helps deliver products rapidly and with confidence.

Partnering with the Engineering, Design, and Security teams to ensure the right definition and delivery for every initiative, you will be establishing goals early in the life cycle, define key metrics and continuously communicate the state of planning, delivery, and risk.

Working closely with our customers, partners, and customer and partner facing teams, you will drive everything from the definition to the roll-out of new platform functionality.
