Whistle is a key player in the Kinship ecosystem, we are looking to become the leader in the Pet Wellness Industry. Our marketing team is small but mighty, we work hard, we work fast but we work well and we enjoy every moment of it. We create amazing campaigns and experience that brings joy to every pet parent.

HOW YOU’LL CREATE A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS

Whistle is looking for an experienced Website/eCommerce Manager to play a critical role in the acquisition and retention. In this role you’ll be responsible to lead cross-functional teams to deliver campaign landing pages, online promotions, product description pages, store and pricing updates and more. You will manage strategic website projects end-to-end and bring together stakeholders in product marketing, demand generation, design, and web development. You will play a critical role supporting and evolving the Whistle.com website, and the creation of engaging website experiences that generate sales.

This role is for an experienced digital marketer with a strong background in conversion rate optimization and SEO, and will be responsible for the Whistle website and related web properties, as well as drive customer acquisition through a/b testing and organic search.

HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

Success in this role would require you to:

  • Understanding the intricacies of our business, we sell hardware that deliver a service in our app which is tight to a subscription.
  • Being able to stay on the top of eCommerce best practices to maintain best performance and conversion rate on our site
  • Being able to work with a development team, provide clear direction, effectively manage projects to completion on time
  • Understand Shopify and how to make copy changes, create discount codes, run reports, create SKUs…etc

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management and execution of the Whistle.com website
  • Maintain, and optimize our marketing website (www.whistle.com) on Shopify, creating new web pages and making changes to existing pages as needed, update pricing and content.
  • Build a testing plan and execute web optimization A/B tests designed to improve a variety of business-critical metrics including top of funnel traffic, sign ups, conversion rates etc.
  • Identify, lead and implement technical, content and optimization SEO opportunities to grow quality web traffic and conversions from organic search.
  • Analyze web trends, traffic quality and impact of web changes on key metrics.

 Implement and maintain our web analytics taxonomy and tagging, create UTMs tag when needed

  • Refresh the Whistle.com website in an iterative manner, taking into account best web design practices, SEO recommendations, user journeys by working closely with several stakeholders.
  • Stay current with advances in digital marketing, competitive landscape, and macro environment Drive continued innovation and best practice implementation 
  • Develop and implement an ongoing testing culture
  • Manage A/B testing and user testing
  • Collaborating with VP of Marketing and  finance  to set and stay within budget
  • Staying current with emerging opportunities in the digital marketing world
  • A collaborative “Yes, and” attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • 5-8 years of web marketing experience, in DTC, preferably in consumer goods and subscription business models.
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing Shopify website
  • Advanced experience with A/B testing tools such as Optimizely, Intellimize etc and running experiments.
  • A thorough understanding of the technical aspects of managing a website, including technical and content SEO, analytics, UX, domain management, SKUs management, price update and platform-tools
  • Experience with performance optimization and analysis tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • A good understanding of SEO and content strategies
  • Bonus Points:
    • Basic JavaScript, CSS and HTML skills
    • Experience working with Google Tag Manager
    • Extra Bonus: Ultimate dog/pet lover and passionate about improving the lives of pets

Our San Francisco office is located in the Financial District, a quick walk from the Ferry Building, Union Square, and Salesforce Park. Convenient to BART(1 block from Montgomery Station), Muni, ferries, and cable cars. Great local restaurants, gyms, shopping, and bars nearby!
