Director of Product, Growth
About the role
The Growth team is on a mission to get our product in the hands of the next 10 million members. We are looking for a Director of Product for the Growth Activation team. You will own the strategy, roadmap and execution of key Growth initiatives, as well as building and managing a team of PMs. In this role, you will reimagine the new user experience for the millions of people signing up for Chime every year. Your work will help define how new members are introduced to Chime’s features, ensure that people get value from our product and ultimately help them lead healthier financial lives.
As Director of Product, Growth you will be focused on defining and optimizing the initial experience users have with our product. This includes optimizing our onboarding flows, improving our new user experience, and identifying the next set of new features that our new members need. You will be responsible for setting direction, driving the multi-year strategy through customer insights, quantitative analysis and AB testing.Â
This job cannot be performed remotely in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Manage multiple growth areas and drive the strategy of our new member experience
- Lead, manage and develop highly functional teams, ensuring detailed experimentation methodology and flawless execution that is scalable and sustainable.
- Design experiments, tactics and timeline for initiative required to drive solve customer problems to drive business goals
- Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
- Perform quantitative and qualitative research to identify product opportunities and prioritize your roadmap
- Ship minimum-loveable-products that allow us to test our hypotheses while delivering a quality customer experience
- Communicate product plans, benefits and results to all audiences - including Chime’s Executive team
- Partner with marketing, risk, compliance, engineering, design, QA, and analytics teams to build software collaboratively and inclusively
To thrive in this role, you have
- A deep understanding of customer needs, and strong motivation to tackle their problems
- Experience managing product teams and integrating a diverse set of partners and processes into a cohesive product
- Proven leadership leading and growing a team of PM direct reports, including performance management. Experience with formal review cycles is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, competence in SQL, and experience with tools for doing data analysis
- An owner’s mindset - you don’t shy away from the hard stuff
- Experience conducting user research to educate product design and revolve their pain points
- Strong collaboration skills in team environments but able to act quickly as the decision-maker
