Course Hero is scaling! As the Lead Product Manager on the Discovery team, you will play a key role in helping students find the content that they need when they need it the most, in order to learn and achieve their goals.

This is a full-time role located in Redwood City, CA.

• Deeply understand customer problems and partner with data science, design, research, engineering to build a world-class search & discovery experience for all of our users including students, educators and tutors
• Develop overall search strategy and roadmaps and lead their executions
• Lay the foundation of the work that needs to be done, and bring the vision to life
• Prioritize and experiment with product changes that lead to both customer and business successes
• Collaborate with different stakeholders and other product area owners to improve progress towards the company's product vision

Are you our next Lead Product Designer?

• BA/BS; graduate degree a plus, technical degree a strong plus
• 3+ years of product management experience; have shipped high-quality, consumer-facing search (and recommendation) experiences. Know how to build simple but effective experiences for complex products and/or data rich platforms. You have worked in areas such as Vertical Search, Ranking & Matching, inferring user intent, UX, and performance engineering
• Ability to focus on the big picture building towards long-term goals but detail-oriented and focus on what can make shorter-term impacts
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills. You can succinctly articulate goals, progress, and priorities in written, verbal, and presentation formats
• Data-centric but also user-focus. Analytical and also empathetic
• Comfortable with ambiguity and prioritize multiple cross-functional partners

Bonus Points:

• Have worked closely with Data Science and Machine Learning teams with a deep understanding of content taxonomy, engagement data, and analytical models to hold your own during discussions with technical team members
• Gritty and tenacious in getting on board and build consensus
