Performance Marketing Manager
About the role
As the Performance Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the success of our direct response (DR) YouTube campaigns. You will report to our Growth Marketing Manager that focuses on the Google partnership. You will own the end-to-end experience for direct response YouTube campaigns from ideation to campaign execution. As you launch new campaigns, you’ll be in charge of scaling them, analyzing them to further optimize performance while managing internal & external partnerships.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Drive new user enrollment and tackle monthly and quarterly performance goals while optimizing for LTV through YouTube
- Manage the day to day to assess whether the campaigns are kept within budget and maximum ROI is within reach
- Drive short-term and long-term YouTube strategy and share findings with stakeholders; building out reporting to highlight performance and identify key trends
- Work with compliance, design, and the broader marketing team to ensure ad copy are up to date with creative and content
- Partner with Marketing Analytics to develop a test & learn methodology for continually refining the measurement process
- Own all testing methodologies with YouTube, including and not limited to bidding, audiences, ad copy and landing pages
- Develop a strong, working relationship with Google and other external partners to test new products and get into and prove out Alpha/BETAs
To thrive in this role, you have
- You have a growth mind-set and analytical (including strong Excel and data analysis skills, Looker experience a plus) and thought process in order to both prioritize opportunities and evaluate the performance of campaigns
- You have a proven track record of managing and successfully scaling performance marketing campaigns on YouTube and other DR channels.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and quickly with both non-technical and technical internal & external teams
- You have a strong understanding of marketing channels along with their relevant KPIs such as CTR, CVR, CPA, CAC and LTV
- You have an eye for creative, from lo-fi to polished and everything in between and the interplay with different ad formats, bidding products and audiences on YouTube
- You have extensive knowledge of the performance marketing space, and have accumulated deep knowledge of industry best practices while debunking and establishing your own along the way
- You have 7+ years of relevant experience (5+ years scaling performance marketing campaigns, 3-5 years scaling YouTube, 1-3 years in a DR capacity)
- Plus: Experience with influencer marketing experience for DR, mobile apps, video on other digital channels (Paic Social, Display, Programmatic, etc.)
