About the Ads Data and Syndication Team
Instacart offers Enterprise solutions to our retail partners to power their ecommerce experience. It is a strategic part of our company that allows us to align our incentives with our retailers. By powering the white-label experience of Costco, Wegmans and FoodLion, we help them grow their online presence, their online grocery market, and unlock unchartered experiences for customers. The role of the ads syndication team is to create monetization products to complement our Enterprise solutions and help our retailers monetize e-commerce traffic on their website.
We are looking to fill a key senior product role within the Ads Syndication team with someone who is excited by the opportunity to join a new high priority initiative in its very early stage to build an ads monetization solution for Retailers. The scope of this role is fairly broad and encompasses defining the overall product including beautiful and innovative ad formats, retailer controls, yield optimization, performance reporting, online and offline sales data, insights and navigating the fascinating challenge of delivering a great user experience to users on the retailer’s site while maximizing monetization. This person will be part of the Ads organization and collaborate extensively with all product and engineering owners within Ads and with the retailer facing Enterprise team.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Lead and drive our ads syndication vision, strategy and development.
- Work closely with the ads team to develop beautiful and innovative search and display ad formats for retailers’ e-commerce websites.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise team to build the right set of APIs so the ads appear seamlessly as part of the user experience on the retailer’s website
- Work with the business team to develop the right commercial model for the product.
- Identify the right measurement solution that leverages purchase data to provide closed loop reporting to the advertisers and retailers.
- Identify ways in which we can create innovative data products for our CPG partners and retailers via appropriate data sharing means (portal, API, data clean rooms)
- Work with Engineering, Design, Marketing and Sales, to build, test, and ship products
- Maintain an active roadmap and regularly share updates with leadership and other stakeholders for this high visibility mission critical product.
ABOUT YOU
- 8+ years experience in Product Management at a technology company.
- 3+ years experience working on Ads Data
- An understanding of search and display advertising technologies, familiarity with the ad tech echo system and leveraging data for targeting, measurement and insights for direct response and brand advertising
- Experience working on publisher ad products and experience building and maintaining external facing API products is a huge plus.
- Experience delivering impactful products and features that are heavily informed by data as well as user research
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems by crafting customer-first solutions and thinking from first principles
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoy forming and building relationships with technical or commercial stakeholders.
- Experience influencing the Executive Team members on key strategy and cross-functional initiatives
