We are seeking a Product Analyst to join the Strategic Initiatives group within the Research Analytics and Learning (ReAL) Team at Evidation. The analyst will develop dashboards and conduct data analyses to evaluate and monitor the status of initiatives across Evidation. Successful candidates will thrive on using data to understand programs/products, clearly communicating insights both verbally and visually, and providing actionable recommendations to help drive data-based decision making at Evidation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop metrics to monitor the status and success of initiatives, products, and programs at Evidation.
  • Create and maintain various dashboards and/or automated reports that are clear, easy to understand, insightful, and actionable.
  • Use SQL or Python to carry out exploratory data analyses, flag data anomalies or trends, and investigate potential data issues. Clearly summarize and communicate results and provide recommendations.
  • Implement and maintain an automated data validation system to help ensure data quality across several large-scale programs.
  • Provide input on tools, infrastructure, requirements, and workflows involving dashboards and data. Work with clients and people across the organization to make decisions about data and analytics. 
  • Help create data documentation, including data usage guides and data dictionaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent SQL skills 
  • Excellent data visualization and scientific communication skills, particularly in conveying quantitative information to a non-technical audience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience clarifying ambiguous requirements or questions, translating them into data analyses, pulling data from multiple sources, and using data to arrive at an answer.
  • Ability to derive meaning from complex data and select the best graph or table for a given problem. An understanding of how to make dashboards and visualizations digestible, informative, and usable. 
  • Experience with data tools like Tableau, Looker, and/or AWS QuickSight.
  • Experience using Python and Pyspark
  • Demonstrated rigor in analytical thinking and familiarity with statistics
  • Ability to work well with people from different teams across the organization. Experience in an interdisciplinary/cross-functional field.
  • Experience tracking multiple requests, setting and meeting realistic deadlines, and being transparent about setbacks. Self-driven and comfortable working largely independently.
