Job Description

Wish is looking to hire a Product Manager for Localization as part of its Core Product Team. As a PM in this position, you will be expected to identify and prioritize opportunities to provide a truly local experience to our customers and merchants across the globe. Wish currently supports 40+ languages.

Our team is small and nimble. We release new code every weekday to ensure that the team is able to iterate quickly, and make an impact immediately. They work on building features from the database level to the client. We cultivate an environment for smart, driven innovators to thrive.

What you'll be doing:

  • Craft the product vision to help grow our international merchant, store, and user base 

  • Gather, analyze data; looking for opportunities to optimize on workflows, inefficiencies or customer issues that have been reported

  • Work closely with our Localization and localization engineering teams to improve the internationalization pipeline and processes

  • Support the localization strategy by experimenting with and scaling new and innovative solutions that leverage different translation approaches such as Machine Translation

  • Advise/educate other PMs on localization best practices. Be knowledgeable about internationalization requirements and localization tooling

  • Define and analyze key success metrics that measure the value and success of your products

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • 5+ years of experience in product management

  • 2 years of experience with localization/internationalization

  • Experience driving a product vision with an international focus

  • Good understanding of i18n and l10n

  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and a data driven approach to problem solving

  • Experience with SQL, as well as proven experience to process and analyze complex data sets, and interpret them to make business decisions

  • Well-rounded interpersonal skills, and experience interacting with diverse personalities and cultures

  • Experience launching products at scale that have had a demonstrable positive impact to the busines​​​​​​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience at an e-commerce or digital marketplace company
