Product Manager, Orders Platform
OVERVIEW

The Instacart Product Team is dedicated to making grocery shopping effortless for everyone. By helping take care of the shopping, we help people get good food and give them back time, so they can do what matters most to them. We’re finding solutions to large-scale challenges that will forever change the way people feed themselves and their loved ones.
About the team:
The Orders & Payments team is responsible for payments processing, order lifecycle management, fraud prevention, and financial products that make it easier, safer, and more affordable for our customers to shop from their favorite local grocery stores. For this role, we are looking to hire a platform product manager to drive strategic company initiatives such as re-building our tax engine to scale across new verticals and geographies, unifying our order-management systems for our enterprise and consumer-facing applications, and enhancing our coupon creation and management capabilities for our retailer partners and CPG advertisers.
A Product Manager at Instacart has a mix of principled thinking, well-honed product sense, and technical depth. They are ultimately responsible for owning the product and leading a cross-functional team to take ideas and iteratively, bring them to life. We’d like you to have a customer-first mindset and demonstrate experience in delivering impactful products and features that are heavily informed by data as well as user research.
ABOUT THE JOB
- You'll drive product definition, strategy, and long term vision for our orders and payments systems.
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineering, design, research, data science, and operations.
- You will work on building systems that allow us to scale orders for both the Instacart marketplace and our enterprise solutions
- Identify the biggest problems to solve. Drive new feature development from start to finish
- Build, measure, and iterate rapidly
- Consistently integrate behavior data and customer feedback into key product decisions
- Communicate product plans, benefits and results to all audiences - within teams, company, to users, press etc.
ABOUT YOU

- A minimum of 4-5 years experience as a Technical Product manager / Product Manager, at a technology company.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to bring together stakeholders across product, engineering, business development, operations, corporate strategy, and finance.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems by creating customer-first solutions and thinking from first principles
- Strong data driven problem solving skills
- A technical background (technical degree or experience working on a technical product surface area) and experience with order lifecycle management, payments platforms, tax, and financial technology is preferred.
