About the Role
Whether it's a sandwich, a burrito, or groceries, the Uber Eats team builds technology to connect people with what they want, when and where they want it. On our Product team, you will envision and execute new products in order to accelerate the trajectory of Eats globally in a matter of months, not years.
What You'll Do
As a Product Manager on the Eater Search and Discovery team, you will be at the center of delivering on our mission. As Uber Eats expands into new services like Grocery, the challenge of helping a consumer quickly find what they want grows exponentially. Ultimately your goal will be to ensure each time an Uber Eats consumer opens the app, they are absolutely captivated by what they see, eagerly selecting and buying any number of available items around them.
Whether it be crafting and building the next generation search experience, rethinking how users search and browse in a multi-vertical world, or launching intuitive and delightful consumer experiences, Product Managers on the Eater Search team have to love consumer products. If you like to create, think outside-the-box, and launch products users love, and that they've never seen before, you'll find yourself at home on the team.
You won't be alone in your endeavors either. Rather you'll work with seasoned experts in design paradigms and engineering across Engineering, Data Science, and Design. In partnership with your colleagues, you'll transform strategy into a product that scales globally. This involves considering local customer needs, cultural nuance, and competitive environments to help our business grow and retain its loyal user base.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years of PM experience delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet products with your fingerprints all over them.• Stellar design instincts and product taste.
Preferred Qualifications
• Customer obsession: a clear track record of delivering elegant solutions for true user problems• A high bar across the board - for your own contributions, for the people you work with, and for the products you work on• You just go get the data you need with no muss/fuss and can whip it into an insightful story with no help• Experience running experiments to assess the effectiveness of releases• A computer science, statistics, or engineering undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably including hands-on software development experience• Prior background in analytics or design
