About the Role

As a Product Manager for Video Player you'll be leading the creation of a new, modern video player for digital platforms, including the web and mobile. The respect and compatibility we have with existing video players in the market is very important at Mux. You will focus on our customers who want a high-performance fully customizable video player that is optimized for the Mux platform. A passion for the web, communications, video, and developer tools, as well as innovative design will serve you well in this role. We’re looking for a strong, creative Product leader who wants to have a significant impact on our customers' success.

Candidates with experience in developer-facing products and platforms are encouraged to apply, as are creative thinkers with the ability to empathize with users and solve problem in new ways that will delight them.

What You'll Do

We want to talk with you about your areas of interest, passion, talent, and experiences to figure out together where to focus the position. Below are the areas where we know there's opportunity:

• Own the video playback experience for developers, our customers, and for what will be millions of viewers worldwide.
• Work with open source efforts, including some headed up by colleagues at Mux such as media-chrome, to enrich open source communities.
• Manage relationships across other product groups, engineering, design, and other stakeholders.
• Work as a leading member of the Product team to create the world's leading developer platform for video

Who You Are

Here's some aspects of the backgrounds that would contribute to a good match for this position — not all are required, this is a a guide:

• 3+ years of product management experience.
• We are open to hiring mid to staff level Product Managers.
• Curious, passionate, and motivated to work with your team to deliver great products.
• Experience in developer-facing products and/or platforms
• An interest in PaaS/SaaS and SaaS communications products.
• Experience with API products
