About Your Team

The Product Management team is responsible for turning our promising technology into a real world success. We identify the right problems to solve in the world and identify requirements that our solution must address in order to solve those problems. We fit together the many critical puzzle pieces necessary to launch a product into the world safely, legally, profitably, and with support from our many stakeholders.

About Your Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to develop and refine Ike’s product strategy and work with a broad cross functional team to build something real.

About Your Work

• Be the voice of the user of our product. Help the team understand what’s happening in the real world and why we must build our product in a certain way.
• Do research in the field, riding along with a truck driver, shadowing a dispatcher, or observing trailer transfers at a drop yard. Build an understanding of the players in the industry, the work they do, their pain points, and the implications for autonomy and our products.
• Develop product requirements for a specific component of Ike’s solution - our infrastructure, maintenance and support, or tool integration
• Design, test, and iterate to develop the best solution to meet the product requirements and work with cross-functional peers in regulatory, business development, and operations to make the solution a reality
• Work closely with our systems engineering team to set product requirements that will inform what our engineers build

About You

• Experience working on highly technical product development in fast-paced environment
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to explore complicated systems to understand how they work
• Ability to think creatively and unconventionally to solve problems in unique ways
• Willingness to experiment, testing ideas and concepts quickly and iteratively
• Great people skills: you can have a productive conversation with a trucker or a software engineer
• Hands on: you love the idea of spending your whole day in a truck or writing flow diagrams on a white board
• Engineers love working with you. You find ways to make their lives easier and inform their work while getting your job done.

Nice to haves

• Previous roles as a product manager in technology
• Exposure to or knowledge of the trucking industry
