About the role:

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Platform vertical. You’ll own all product marketing responsibilities for our Expert Medical Opinion (EMO) product, which ensures that members with the most complex needs get the right care through access to top national experts, high-quality local care, and an empathetic care team. You will work closely with sales, solutions consulting, and product to ensure that our EMO story is crisp and our go-to-market strategies are competitive.

You’re equally comfortable writing a narrative, creating compelling visuals, and crunching numbers. You know how to communicate complex ideas in simple ways through a combination of storytelling and data. You have a history of delivering results in complex, cross-functional projects. You can demonstrate a deep understanding of our buyers’ employee healthcare challenges and how to connect them to Grand Rounds products and services that will deliver value.

In this role, you will own the full stack of product marketing responsibilities for Expert Medical Opinions--positioning, packaging, pricing, and competitive intelligence. You will drive the Expert Medical Opinion narrative to ensure that our story is crisp and easy to understand for our sales team and our buyers. You’ll identify messages to stand out from our competition. You will work with product and clinical teams to identify product opportunities and create EMO packages that are simple to understand, differentiated, and valuable to customers and members. You will work with finance and sales operations to create pricing that is competitive and maintains healthy margins. And finally, you’ll constantly monitor the market, run market research, and develop strong relationships with our go-to-market team to ensure that everything we do and build is founded in a deep understanding of our buyers and the market.

The position is ultimately about go-to-market strategy, effective marketing, sound decision making, and relationship-building. We are a small team in a scaling organization and you will have an opportunity to create instant and lasting impact. Expect a steady flow of special projects, as well.

In Your First 30 Days:

  • Onboard with our product, marketing, go-to-market, and clinical teams
  • Ground yourself in a deep understanding of our teams, packages, products, and services
  • Learn the current and historical approaches to our positioning, sales enablement & tooling, packaging, and pricing strategies

In Your First 60 Days:

  • Shadow the sales leaders in prospect meetings and learn how we position ourselves
  • Gain a deep understanding of our EMO customers and their needs, and begin to recognize patterns that will help you identify opportunities for future positioning and packaging enhancements
  • Learn our unique SWOT associated with each key competitor, and how to structure persuasive attacks and counterattacks

In Your First 90 Days:

  • Develop and begin to execute long-term positioning narratives and train Go-to-Market teams
  • Prepare the GTM team for the next sales season, driving refreshes to packaging and pricing for EMO

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep perspective on the EMO landscape and buyers to inform positioning, packaging, and pricing
  • Build, maintain and expand a suite of market-facing materials and tools that support our EMO sales
  • Collaborate within Product Marketing and with Product and Go-to-Market teams to help drive packaging and product enhancements
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales Operations teams to create competitive, yet sustainable pricing
  • Become the key Go-to-Market owner and resource for our EMO products

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Marketing experience, ideally in the employer benefits space or working with large enterprise buyers
  • Strong analytical ability and exceptional strategic instincts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to package findings into market-facing collateral in a crisp, thoughtful and persuasive manner
  • Sound business judgement and problem framing
  • Superior storytelling skills to weave a compelling visual narrative
  • Enthusiastic collaborator who is able to effectively work across teams with many different stakeholders
  • Deep interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance and execute multiple projects concurrently
  • Desire and ability to succeed in a demanding, creative, and entrepreneurial environment
