Job Description

  • Establish product strategy and improve our partner/developer experience using a variety of inputs, and articulate rationale behind decisions

  • Responsible for the developer experience and overall responsibility for creating and maintaining API Tooling, Developer Portal, and documentation for our users.

  • Apply product management, industry, and market expertise to brainstorm and create additional use-cases for the API

  • Translate user stories into an API specification

  • Define and own a prioritized Product Roadmap for the API Platform, based on user-insights, managing stakeholder expectations throughout.

  • Create and guide our platform roadmap and represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to influence and align resources and prioritization

  • Have overall ownership of the API as a product and prioritize work and make strategic decisions

  • Work with marketing team to develop a marketing plan for the API

  • Contribute to API testing phases when requirement decisions must be made

  • Research and analytical skills to track KPIs and determine market trends.

  • Problem-solving skills to quickly rectify any issues with the APIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years related of Product Management experience 


Preferred Skills/Experience

  •  4+ years of experiencing managing API products

  • Experience with Ecommerce APIs

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and visual presentation

  • 2+ years of designing, programming, testing, or supporting APIs (though no API programming will be required for this specific role)

  • 2+ years of Agile experience

  • 2+ years of technical writing experience

  •  Understanding of partner-facing ReST and GraphQL.
