Senior Data Product Manager, GTM

Job description
Data is a big deal at Atlassian. We ingest billions of events each month into our analytics platform and we have dozens of teams across the company depending on the platform to drive their decisions. The team is also responsible to build and manage Atlassian’s analytical data store which is critical in helping make decisions and guiding strategy based on the data and services we provide. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing GoToMarket & Commerce Data Engineering team which is part of the Data Engineering department. Come and join our efforts to further democratize data and build exceptional data products for the company.
Understand the strategy of Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams and work with internal customers across the organization to verify that we're building the right models to unlock faster insights and data-driven decisions. Focus on opportunities and use cases for segmentation, targeting and optimizing marketing spend.
Deeply understand the needs of marketers, data scientists, product teams and combine it with knowledge of data engineering to define a vision and execute a roadmap. Help ensure that Atlassian's data lake and services are a desirable, scalable, and trusted destination for all types of engineers, analysts and data scientists.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 5+ years of data product management experience, ideally at a fast-paced growing company
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, experience in writing SQL, even better if you are proficient in spark
- Proven track record of partnering with sales & marketing teams in setting the vision for data needs and translating it into a product roadmap and end-to-end execution
- Experience working with tools in the sales & marketing technology stack (Ex: Salesforce, Marketo)
- Ability to strategize data needs for low and high touch sales channels
- Responsible for attribution models and be a champion for continuous improvement and measurement
- Execute on a product backlog, balancing innovation, maintenance and support
- Develop and defend strong points of view with data and analytics
- Outstanding track record of building relationships at all levels. You’ll make sure everyone is on the same page and love to work with you!
- Self-awareness with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
- Experience building company CRM, e-commerce, marketing data or communication platforms
- Worked with structured, unstructured and graph data
- BE/BS/BA with an emphasis in technology, IT or operations; Masters or MBA preferred
- Strong technical background - you’re a PM by trade, but love geeking out over phenomenal technical ideas from time to time
