We’re looking for a driven, dynamic and well-rounded professional with a demonstrated ability to drive go-to-market innovation.  The ideal candidate will have a combination of business strategy, competitive strategy, pricing, creativity, analytical thinking and communication skills, and is someone who enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively across a diverse range of teams.  In this role, you will engage closely with senior leaders across Commercial, Product, and Finance to devise monetization strategies that position our products, both existing and new, for success and accelerate our business growth while maximizing profits.  This position will report to the head of Pricing and Strategic Finance department.

What You’ll Do

• Working directly with Commercial and Product to define distinctive segments in the markets based on different merchant needs and/or partnership behaviors
• Formulate differentiated value propositions for developing effective pricing and monetization strategies
• Develop and test monetization strategies for new offerings and optimize packaging & pricing for existing products with GTM plans with clear goals and success criteria
• Explore incremental opportunities for growth via pricing across both existing and new offerings
• Monitor industry trends with regards to pricing & offerings and translate that market data into digestible and actionable insights; enable us to strengthen our positioning and increase our competitive advantage
• Steer how to best leverage pricing capabilities into a manageable set of levers and guardrails

What We Look For

• Passion and drive to disrupt both the retail and lending industry for the better
• Minimum 9+ years of professional experience in strategy, management consulting, product monetization, pricing or similar functions in ecommerce, retail, fintech 
• Ability to drive effective teamwork, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
• Executive presence with the ability to succinctly, confidently and articulately defend positions in both verbal and written communications
• Strong mathematical and analytical capability
• Humility and team player - you go out of your way to help teammates
• Self-starter with ability to build programs from scratch; be ready to roll-up your sleeves and get things done

Location

We’re excited to announce that Affirm is now a remote-first company! This role can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of Quebec). Remote based employees may occasionally travel to an Affirm office for meetings or team building events. Our offices in San Francisco, New York City, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Salt Lake City will remain operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis.
