Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll is the world's most popular anime brand. We’re an international business focused on creating both online and offline experiences for anime fans, through content (licensed, co-produced, and originals), merchandise, events, gaming, news, and more.

About the Team

Our fans don't just watch anime - they celebrate it, debate it, and analyze it; the conclusion of an episode isn’t an end but rather the beginning of a week-long obsession. We’re building experiences that allow our fans to share their energy and passion in ways that makes the video experience better for everyone.

As a member of the Consumer Experience product team, you'll be responsible for crafting a product vision for on-platform social and community features, and for evangelizing your vision within the organization to make it happen. You'll work across our Product and Engineering organizations to craft, define and execute on those features with the goal of making the Crunchyroll video experience increasingly social for our viewers.

  • Experience collaborating well with product designers to create well-crafted and functional experiences
  • Strong written and communication skills to provide clear and concise requirements to Engineering and QA/QE teams
  • You know what's important to measure, how to measure it, and how to interpret the data to influence decisions and directions
  • Demonstrate strong customer empathy skills to dig at what really motivates our audience when it comes to digital social interactions and how to translate those hypotheses into product concepts and tests
  • You know how to build connections across the organization to get features delivered, from Engineering to Business to Legal and Brand
  • Experience with building social and/or community features or experience participating heavily in online communities would be a solid plus, but isn't strictly required
  • Experience with anime, animation, sci-fi, comedy, horror, or cult cinema content is strongly preferred, but isn’t strictly required (and if you’ve NEVER watched any of this content before, you might want to watch some content before the first interview)

A Day in the life of our Product Management Team

  • Coordinating with product design and research to understand user needs and translate those insights into features
  • Defining the roadmap for concepts and features, and advocating for them amongst business units and product management teams
