Senior Product Manager, Engineering Services
About the role
Engineering Services is looking for it’s first Engineering Product Manager to support our team. You will work closely with your Engineering Product Manager peers, the engineering leadership of our group, our customers, and he rest of the Technology organization at Chime, to develop the strategy and roadmaps, monitor and communicate progress, and define functional requirements for new products and features.
Engineering Services’ mission is to make the practice of engineering at Chime simple, safe, scalable, stable and secure. We want to make it so that engineers (and others!) at Chime have the tools, training and support they need to help them focus on the things that matter: making awesome products for our customers.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Partner with engineering leadership to help create the strategy and roadmap for the Engineering Services teams.
- Serve as the product owner of the solutions the engineering services team offers, developing the backlog, capturing requirements, and shipping product incrementally in collaboration with engineering.
- Be the voice of the Chime engineering and product customers. Foster collaborative relationships with engineering teams across the company, understand their requirements, communicate a vision of their needs, manage dependencies and help drive our products to solve their needs.
- Collaborate with other engineering product managers to develop best practices in process and set a high bar for the platforms and solutions that Chime builds upon.
- Establish processes and metrics to communicate product development progress and success.
To thrive in this role, you have
- Experience managing multiple products that have many stakeholders, including researching requirements, prioritizing features, and proactively partnering with stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of iterative software development, cloud infrastructure, and related technology.
- Eagerness to collaborate and to help teams make the hard prioritization and scoping decisions to deliver iterative value.
- Experience delivering product in an agile software development environment.
- Proficiency with oral and written communication, organizational, collaboration skills and are capable of managing large, complex, cross-functional projects.
