Overview
As Hardware Product Manager, you will drive the evolution of Tonal’s hardware products, including the trainer and accessories. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities and working cross-functionally to bring concepts to life.
What You Will Do
- Strategically evolve and grow hardware products and accessories to constantly deliver a better user experience
- Identify opportunities via market research, customer interviews, and analytics, in partnership with product marketing
- Conceptualize, define, and drive hardware initiatives in partnership with engineering, design, and programs teams
- Lead product requirements creation including definition of use cases, user experience and feature specifications to detail how products and product features should be built
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, profitability, and operational support load
- Manage multiple concurrent hardware initiatives
- Be the Product Owner for our firmware team
- Communicate details to senior management and the rest of the organization
Who You Are
- 5+ years hardware product management experience
- Direct experience leading the development and launch of consumer electronics devices, including both hardware and software components
- Understanding of hardware unit economics, business modeling, refresh timelines, and development costs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people at all levels
- Self-starter, proactive, demonstrated self and team motivator with a bias for action
- Problem-solver with extraordinary organizational and analytical abilities
- Able to think both strategically and tactically
Extra Credit
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working on technology related to strength training, exercise, or health and fitness
