The Opportunity
We launched our in-store payment offering in October 2020 with retail partners like Forever 21, DSW, and Finish Line. As we continue to grow our in-store presence in 2021, we’re looking for a Senior Manager, Brand Education to develop the playbooks to accelerate our top retail partners’ success with Afterpay post-launch and to maintain it throughout the duration of our partnership. The Senior Manager, Brand Education will be responsible for building the team that engages with our top retail partners around the globe to deeply understand the store associate experience and ensure Afterpay is serving this audience in new, innovative, and brand-right ways.
We are much more than our job descriptions, but here’s where you will begin….
-Oversee Afterpay Brand Education and retailer engagement in North America, UK, and EU
-Develop, test, and implement strategies to win the hearts & minds of store teams, and ultimately grow Afterpay share of cart with our top retail partners globally
-Build and mentor team of Brand Education Managers as well as Field Trainers to foster relationships with training & education teams at headquarters as well as and local teams at top retail partners
-Leverage these proven strategies to build playbooks to support the success of our merchant partners across all categories, geographies, and demographics
-Oversee Afterpay’s integration with key mall partners including Westfield and Caruso in terms of store team engagement as well as the training and development of any and all Afterpay ambassadors leveraged for events
-Leverage your industry expertise to help us see around corners. What does good look like in 6, 9, 12 months?
-Serve as a thought leader on best-in-class education programs and how Afterpay should up-level materials, content, and approach accordingly
-Work closely with client success and partner marketing leads to pitch, launch, and measure program growth strategies with partners
-Act as an internal ambassador for the Afterpay retail program, representing the business in new hire onboarding series, lunch and learns, and other key programs to drive internal learning about our stores business
Who are you? Like us, you’ll be deeply committed to delivering positive outcomes for customers and passionate about shaping the future of Afterpay.
You’ll have ….
-8+ years experience in field training leadership, field operations, or a related field
-History of building, leading, motivating and coaching teams to achieve business objectives
-Significant experience in high-growth consumer-facing or retail-centric environments
-Highly collaborative, globally minded with an extremely high level of customer focus and cultural sensitivity
-Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
-High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
-Advanced business acumen and analytical skills
-Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of at least 10 people
