Job Duties and Responsibilities:

As Senior Product Manager for Verana Trial Connect, you will lead product management, owning the execution strategy, and roadmap for our application that helps physicians and clinical trial coordinators identify and prioritize potential patients for clinical trials. Your work will help connect patients to clinical trials.

You will be involved in every stage of the product development lifecycle, working closely with the Clinical Trials team, UI/UX designers, and the development team to ship high quality products. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and evolving components of Verana Trial Connect to grow and expand the tool for Verana’s life sciences partners. For your day-to-day work you will be embedded within the Trials Team, a highly cross-functional and collaborative business unit within Verana, and you will report within the Product organization. 

Basic Requirements:

• 5+ years of product management experience, as a product owner or product manager for a healthcare data product/device, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Experience in product development, user research and design methodology for complex enterprise web applications.
• Clinical trials and patient research exposure and/or experience in clinical trials software development highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data workflows and governance.
• Experience writing functional and technical specifications for products, preferably in translating and negotiating requests from life science or physicians into requirements.
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and data intuition: ability to use data and metrics to evaluate decisions, provide insights and drive action.
• Experience managing complex and changing internal and external priorities. 
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with subject matter experts. 
• Conscientiousness around and understanding of how to manage releases, mitigate impact of changes, evaluate build vs. buy decisions.
• Self-motivated and able to effectively run projects independently.

Bonus

• Experience working with remote engineering teams.
• Early to mid stage, high growth startup experience.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare and PHI regulations.
