Overview

At Segment, we believe companies should be able to send their data wherever they want, whenever they want, with no fuss. Unfortunately, most product managers, analysts, and marketers spend too much time searching for the data they need, while engineers are stuck integrating the tools they want to use. Segment standardizes and streamlines data infrastructure with a single platform that collects, unifies, and sends data to hundreds of business tools with the flip of a switch. That way, our customers can focus on building amazing products and personalized messages for their customers, letting us take care of the complexities of processing their customer data reliably at scale. We’re in the running to power the entire customer data ecosystem, and we need the best people to take the market.

Product Marketing drives key go-to-market initiatives at Segment. We work closely with product management, engineering, and design to define our product roadmap and we partner with marketing, sales, and success to bring new products and features to market. We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, collaborative product marketer to join our fast-growing team to support our enterprise businesses.  Focus areas will include products like Warehouses  and development of new deployment models for Segment, as well as support for our enterprise business with customer and competitive marketing.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and keep a pulse on the competitive landscape to inform our go-to-market strategy
  • Lead marketing campaigns that will generate leads for our sales team.

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU

  • Have 8+ years of relevant work experience (marketing, product, sales), including 4+ years of B2B product marketing experience
  • Are incredibly organized and efficient—you take on complex projects and campaigns and own them from start to finish
  • Have led feature launches autonomously and contributed to large product launches
  • Have experience marketing a product to an engineering audience
  • Have strong product instincts and technical curiosity that translate to clear packaging, positioning, and messaging
  • Have exceptional written, communication, and speaking skills
  • Thrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams
