About the Role

To further this mission, we’re looking for a terrific Creative Operations Manager to partner with our creative producer and creative leads to build out our internal creative studio. The brief is to build a world-class studio populated by diverse eclectic talent that both creates and makes - with capabilities including animation, content creation, production, editing, editorial and design - and consistently develops remarkable work for DoorDash while cultivating a consistent and compelling voice through all touch points. 

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of leading successful business and initiatives - either within advertising agencies or at brand-side internal studios. This person must have a passion for understanding and articulating business problems, a talent for building strong partnerships with Marketers, a belief in the creative product as the solution to those problems, and the ability to support an operation and a culture that consistently produces innovative and integrated solutions across the full spectrum of the media mix. They need to be able to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, and semi-structured environment, and must be comfortable guiding teams and willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work.

Based out of our SF Headquarters and reporting into the Senior Creative Lead, you will join a terrific team; partner with Marketers across the business to develop work that drives business impact; and elevate the profile of creativity as a growth lever. What You'll Do

  • Help lead and manage in-house teams in creative strategy, execution, and production.
  • Be the gatekeeper for all creative requests and optimize top of funnel intake process
  • Lead the development of remarkable ideas - across a variety of marketing touchpoints - that resonate with our audiences, earn an outsized share of cultural conversation, and create competitive advantage. 
  • Build and maintain key relationships with Marketing partners by demonstrating a deep understanding of the integrated marketing landscape and a commitment to driving results.
  • Develop a comprehensive operating plan with both immediate and long-term goals and milestones, assessing the business needs to shape capabilities. 
  • Ensure the studio is delivering best-in-class capabilities and partnership across all departments, instilling a culture of collaboration. 
  • Maintain a culture where people love to work (and want to come and work), feel they can flourish, and are proud of what they contribute.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience as an agency / in-house creative running operations, project management, and/ or production 
  • 1+ years of experience as a lead or people manager 
  • Experience developing and managing marketing campaigns and programs in a data-driven, integrated marketing environment
  • A driver of change, with a passion for the way the communications industry is evolving and fearless about breaking new ground
  • A clear and creative strategic thinker who recognizes and nurtures big, new ideas; knows how to win advocates for great work; and obsesses about the effectiveness of the creative product in market
  • Experience across creative expression: traditional, digital (including products), experiential, and ideas that drive earned media
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing projects that create remarkable work that earns an outsize share of the cultural conversation
  • Creative and collaborative - you love working with a team and solving challenging business problems through creativity
