About the Team

The Analytics team is looking for a Data Technical Program Manager to design and implement data solutions for early-stage incubation efforts with our newest and fast-growing business lines.

About the Role

As a Data Technical Program Manager at DoorDash, half the role will be that of a traditional Data Scientist, and half will be to design, scope and lead integration efforts with our vendor and customer partners to ingest their data in a world-class manner. New Verticals houses a multitude of exciting challenges that are early-stage in a product lifecycle. If you enjoy wearing many data-adjacent hats, working across multiple functions, and building automated systems to help us scale up, we’re looking for someone like you!

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools
  • Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and long-term trends
  • Identify and measure levers to help move essential metrics and make recommendations
  • Scope and manage data integrations with our suppliers and customers, with dedicated Engineering resources to help with implementation
  • Work closely with Finance, Business Intelligence and Operations to understand requirements and solve toward them
  • Get data piping in the right format for greenfield business lines in and out of Doordash

We’re excited about you because you have…

  • A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar domain
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or related quantitative role
  • 2+ years of experience in project/product management, data engineering, software engineering and/or business intelligence
  • Expertise with SQL queries, ETL, automation scripts and data pipelines
  • The technical knowhow to roll your sleeves up, and validate and troubleshoot against expected output
  • A track record of identifying pain points with manual processes (via close shadowing), and automating them away
  • The ability to pull knowledge out of people’s heads and institutionalize them into code and processes
  • A sterling reputation among cross-functional partners, as somebody that’s able to achieve alignment and translate asks across multiple functions like Business Intelligence, Engineering, Finance, Product, and Operations 
  • The determination to initiate and drive projects to completion in a scrappy environment
