The team embeds in cities and neighborhoods to understand their specific transportation needs, and hires locally from the community.

About the Role

Head of Program Management is responsible for planning and driving execution of hardware product development and provides leadership to ensure that overall Product Line Management Function is effectively meeting the organization’s strategic goals. The role will serve as functional leader of the Supply Chain and Hardware Operations Program Management function to set the team’s framework and principles as a center of excellence for the broader organization.

This is a newly formed group which will be led by Head of Program Management, reporting into the VP of Supply Chain and Hardware Operations. This team of senior, highly technical hardware program managers will provide oversight for multiple complex product initiatives that require cross-functional team alignment across the company (and externally). They will lead core teams in managing design and manufacturing engineering deliverables, hardware product qualification, product and Market launch planning, and post-launch activities, with a primary goal of ensuring that hardware products are successfully delivered to market on schedule while meeting business and quality metrics.

Drive strategic programs and projects: 

  • Responsible for driving the cross-functional hardware product development program and PLM process.
  • Maintain a sustainable balance of workload and resources to deliver executive-level program status, decision trade-offs, or priorities to senior executive leadership.
  • Ownership over the list of dependent projects needed to deliver against integrated, detailed plans within budget and timelines by highlighting tradeoffs and co-dependencies to meet overall goals and timelines. 
  • Enable proactive communication in collaboration with functional directors and managers to assure integration of project, company, and functional goals towards achieving project milestones and timetables.
  • Develop, track, and analyze project’s key performance indicators (KPIs) including effectiveness of technical strategies, regulatory requirements, development progress, project execution and product development risks (e.g., adherence to schedule, scope, resources), to provide management detailed status updates.
  • Oversight of all phases of the Hardware Product Lifecycle Management process from New Product Introduction to Deployment to EOL. 
  • Understanding of Design Control principles and managing gate-keeping, design freezes, design reviews, change control, sign-offs, etc.
  • Organize regular team meetings to drive progress, track and mitigate risks, resolve/escalate issues, and review action items.
  • Generate the necessary documentation and assist teams with creating project plans, protocols, reports etc. 
  • Lead a sustainable program function and cross-functional training to coach and partner with functions on the use of Project Management and PLM methodologies
