Executive Engagement Lead

ROLE OVERVIEW
Benchling is seeking a talented Executive Programs leader, responsible for successfully building and executing on the company’s global executive strategy and programs. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Analytics, they will focus on delivering amazing opportunities for customers and prospects to engage with Benchling, their peers, and our broader community.
This leader will create and evolve our executive engagement strategy, making this part of how we bring value to our
customers and prospects throughout their lifecycle with Benchling. This leader will also develop a global center for excellence around executive programs - focused on multiple personas and solution themes - ensuring we cultivate learnings and best practices globally to develop a playbook for highest impact global and regional exec programs that drive true customer engagement, value and ultimately deliver meaningful pipeline for our business.
This role requires a strong leader with field and pipeline focus, an entrepreneurial, solution-driven mindset and an appetite for ongoing transformation. The ideal candidate will have experience in or across management consulting and SaaS go-to-market. Experience in life sciences or R&D in other key verticals (e.g., agriculture, consumer packaged goods, industrial goods) is desired.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Build and lead the Executive Engagement function and associated programs, evolving our strategy to impact events and the broader sales cycle
- Guide and influence the Exec Engagement process surrounding Benchling events to ensure the right conversations are happening with the right customers across target accounts
- Meet customers where they are from prospect to expansion through crafting engagement journeys to support deal cycles
- Develop a strategy for creating meeting agenda’s that align to the customers needs, the business opportunity, and ensuring effective post meeting follow up
- Create an alignment process to ensure Account teams and Executives are briefed in most efficient manner possible, developing a customer preferred format of engagement
- Build a trusted relationship with Benchling executives, and selected list of senior product and sales leaders plus their communication teams and EAs
- Build and execute in region exec programs with best in class content, messaging and consistent pre/post event approach, working closely with local field teams
- Coach and guide the executive engagement team providing clarity on business objectives aligned to field, and initiatives that will drive impact, along with development of skill set required to grow this teams impact and influence
- Track important business metrics that inform larger business planning for the future; run point on data visualization design & internal business presentations used by senior leadership for decision-making
ABOUT YOU
- BA or equivalent undergraduate degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in a relevant role involving program management, process design, internal communications, and cross-team alignment
- Strong exec presence and the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with senior business leaders as well as internal stakeholders
- Dynamic, empathetic and flexible in communication and work styles depending on context and in multi-cultural teams and engagements
- Working mastery of process documentation (Quip, Google Slides, spreadsheets) required
- Strong verbal & written communication skills with an emphasis on data-driven storytelling and presentation skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and urgent deadlines simultaneously
- Self-starter with the ability to navigate a complex organization to drive projects from idea to execution fast
- Highly organized and energetic leader with a passion for developing people
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, fast-growing, ever-changing environment
