As a Hardware NPI Program Manager, you will manage complex hardware development projects. You will be responsible for driving the day-to-day activities to meet the overall project objectives, product integration, and ensure quality and safety compliance as well as documentation to support scale. You will collaborate with various functions like product, hardware operations, logistics, design and software engineering, to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and in sync. Your self-motivated, driven and dedicated nature enables you to work within a collaborative culture.


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Hardware NPI program management Ensure timely launch of high-quality, cost-efficient, and manufacturable wearable consumer electronics products.
  • Lead hardware pod to design, manufacture, and ship a high quality, compliant, and manufacturable iteration of our consumer electronics wearable product and future products.
  • Develop project roadmaps, define and communicate deliverables and due dates clearly after due considerations of constraints by working collaboratively, escalate issues if needed.
  • Exec-level Program Management Ensure day-to-day leadership in coordinating the hardware execution processLead the end-to-end coordination of supply, production and shipment for NPI.
  • Detail-oriented, Cross-functional leadership Drive cross-functional collaboration and exhibit high-level of attention to detailsBreakdown complex projects and problems into manageable sizes, drive action items, assign/deploy execution across the supply chain working cross-functionally with product, design, hardware engineering, software engineering, local and overseas suppliers, CM/ODMs and logistics.
  • Develop a hardware roadmap from scratch covering all phases of product development from concept, samples, prototype, alpha-beta testing, ramp up and at-scale production.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 10 years of hardware program/project management experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Detailed knowledge of product development processes and a strong understanding of hardware manufacturing processes.
  • Experience and understanding of PCBA consumer electronics, soft goods/textiles, paper goods and software development processes, to a level where the candidate can engage in technical deep-dives, brainstorming and communication.
  • Experience interfacing with Operations, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Design, Marketing and CMs/ODM partners.
  • Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure fast paced environment
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
  • Expert level proficiency in a project management softwares and PLM process
  • Analytical approach to consider budgetary goals, expenses, calculate timelines and provide complex data in a simplified manner.
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or technical discipline
  • BONUS POINTS- Hardware NPI experience in wearable or medical devices
