Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
As a project analyst intern you will be required to support senior program managers across the entire project lifecycle to deliver on critical programs for Service Now IT initiatives. The project analyst intern will have exposure to ServiceNow ITBM product roadmap and work with various project, product teams to propose creative solutions in predictive analytics, task automation and build a bold vision for AI driven project management.
This position will partner closely with the Sr Program Managers, Product owners to:
- Program Management:
- Understand program scope, identify relevant stakeholders and support the program management leadership to deliver on promised outcomes
- Work with relevant stakeholders to develop detailed project management plans, resource plans to support project execution
- Prepare project management documents and review with program management leadership
- Keep all stakeholder aligned by preparing and communicating project status report after analyzing risks, issues, schedule, and cost variance of the program
- Prepare project performance analytics by reviewing system-generated dashboards, identify and publish key messages backed with data points
- Ensure data compliance – timeliness and accuracy of data across the program lifecycle
- Agile Coach:
- Collaborate with Sr Agile Coaches to implement the agile manifesto
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and share lessons learnt, best practices for team performance
- Learn and implement LEAN, KANBAN methodologies to improve processes, performance.
- Product Management:
- Partner with product owners to develop product roadmap, strategies to achieve product roadmap goals
- Develop use cases for automation opportunities in project management lifecycle
- Collaborate with technology teams – Performance Analytics, Chat Bot, Search, Machine Learning to develop solutions for automation use cases
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has below experience:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project/product management
Core competencies:
- Critical thinking and analytical approach to understanding customer’s needs, develop innovative solutions
- Ability to quickly learn database models and develop queries to retrieve and analyze data
- Exposure to Project management (PMI) methodology, processes, workflows
- Exposure to Agile traits and techniques: Lean design, accommodating changing requirements, iterations, loop feedback with customer involvement.
