At Volta we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta creates city-wide free electric vehicle charging networks in major metropolitan areas. Our charging networks are free-to-use, free to our property partners, and monetized through brand sponsorships and digital media content.

Our company is small, focused, and ambitious. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute in a number of ways to our Product department and the evolution of the company as a whole. In this role, you will be working with our hardware, design, and software groups to ensure that projects run smoothly and help craft incredible user experiences with our network of 700+ charging stations across the US.

The role is a 3-month contract to hire position.

Responsibilities

  • Support product and program managers in the development of timelines and roadmaps. 
  • Monitor project status and communicate to stakeholders
  • Be a documentation wizard, keeping track of and organizing major decisions, insights, and tasks. Engage with third-party vendors, communicating our needs and coordinating specs and shipments
  • Ensure that we have the resources we need and are allocating them efficiently
  • Manage the development of proofs of concept for new technologies and experiences
  • Evangelize product development best practices at Volta
  • Support the Head of Product with long-term product strategy

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of project management in the professional space
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, product design, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with common project management software tools to build Gantt charts, product requirements, and roadmaps (we use GanttPro, Notion, and Roadmunk)
  • Impeccable organizational and communication skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience in the electric vehicle or energy space
  • Experience with the user-centered design process
