About the Role:
Wing is looking for a UX Program Manager with strong communication skills and a natural aptitude for building relationships to join our Products & Services Program Management team based in Palo Alto. This person will coordinate the priorities of UX Research and Product Design teams, to help us meet some of our most ambitious goals yet. The ideal candidate has a proven track record for creating and managing multiple project schedules, identifying risks, successfully implementing mitigations, and delivering results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.
What You’ll Do:
- Track all aspects of a given project from start to finish, organizing priorities, proactively identifying potential blockers, implementing solutions to mitigate, and escalating as appropriate
- Own and manage goal-setting for your project team, help evaluate success criteria, and facilitate estimation and prioritization
- Facilitate milestone meetings and provide regular updates on product, project and program status to business leads
- Act as an agent of change, continually help your team, partners and stakeholders find clarity and evolve processes as the business scales
- Ensure UX, PM, PgM, Eng, and Leadership that UX has “a seat at the table” throughout a project lifecycle and as part of broader, PA-level processes
- Understand design roles: who can accomplish what when allocating resources
- Maintain a holistic view of how a product UI experience should fit into a larger customer brand or product experience
- Understand Design Systems and Patterns: understand prevailing design patterns, can recognize & advocate for standardization & new patterns
- Work with Engineering to make sure the final builds reflect the final design (Design QA)
- Know how & when to integrate Research & Usability Testing into all stages of the design process
What You’ll Need:
- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years experience as a program manager or in a related role working with UX teams
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Problem-solver mindset
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
