Overview 

Under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager, the Learning and Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting the retail, partnership and inside sales teams with their learning and development needs. The Learning and Development Specialist will co-design, co-develop and deliver training to support key initiatives including product knowledge, client service and leadership skills. The Learning & Development Specialist will maintain learning data records and co-adapt learning content when necessary. They will be responsible for training partnership locations on all things Tonal in order to drive results and increase brand excitement. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional teams and showroom managers in order to collaborate and reach learning objectives.

What You Will Do

- Assist Learning & Development Manager in developing scalable and sustainable training programs, modules and experiences (facilitator-led, e-learnings etc) to support the retail and inside sales teams

- Assist Learning & Development manager in evaluating and analyzing the effectiveness of learning programs and complete updates when needed or annually

- Create and manage assigned associate development plans that efficiently and effectively drive performance

- Maintain and regularly update Tonalverse with key learning content and announcements from cross-functional partners

- Assist the Learning & Development Manager in facilitating, training and executing all retail training efforts for Showroom and Partnership locations

- Assist in ensuring brand vision, objectives and strategies are consistent and living within Tonal Retail locations through effective training and coaching

- Responsible for ensuring brand vision, values and strategies are consistent within our partnership locations

- Responsible for updating, maintaining and delivering impactful product knowledge training to our partnership locations

- Maintain close relationships with key cross-functional partners in order to obtain clear content, learning outcomes and collaborate on building training resources

- Coach retail team members to develop key skills and drive results

- Assist with additional retail employee related programming such as culture committee, employee of the month and learning-based contests

Who You Are

- You have a proven work ethic with the utmost integrity. You drive for results and are self-motivated

- Your passion is learning and development and you are committed to developing yourself and others around you

- You are a strong presenter and facilitator with at least 1 year of professional experience

- You have strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence others

- You love the retail business and have a strong understanding of what’s required in all levels of leadership within a retail organization

- You’re comfortable creating from nothing and being an innovator. You are entrepreneurial and seek to solve problems creatively

- You’re a fast learner who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, ready to take on exciting new challenges. Flexibility is your middle name, making you highly capable in ambiguous situations

- You enjoy building connections and relationships with others, teamwork is a priority and you excel at working with a cross-functional team

- You’re able to manage multiple priorities at once, with different and converging timelines

- You’re comfortable working some nights and weekends as required, and are able to travel domestically and internationally to conduct training and store visits

- You have experience as a Store Manager or above

Extra Credit

- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in adult learning

- Proficient in Adobe Creative (Photoshop, Indesign), Rise Articulate

- Professional experience creating training programs or content

- Luxury or high-end product experience

- Fitness industry experience
