Senior Marketing Project Manager – Product Launches
We believe that when passionate people are able to spend less time struggling with technology, they can spend more time on what matters - like teaching children, running businesses, keeping airports safe, and connecting disaster victims with relief. That’s the real power of simplicity. Cisco Meraki is the leader in cloud-managed IT, thanks to our creative, inclusive, fearless team that is driven to simplify technology so the world can simply work!
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to provide solutions, manage change, to be an expert of jugglers, and keeper of process for the team. With a passion for process, you must drive alignment across Marketing teams, develop more efficient ways for the team to manage projects, and bring these programs effectively across the finish line.
Your communication skills give new meaning to the word "transparency' and you're not afraid to speak up when deliverables are at risk and provide timely solutions and recommendations to help inform the development and execution of the marketing plan or product launch. This role will report to our Director of Marketing Project Management and would be a great fit for someone with strategic marketing project management or program management experience.
You will:
- Work across Audience Marketing, Product Marketing, and Integrated Marketing teams with various stakeholders to prioritize and coordinate development efforts to deliver projects ahead of/on schedule
- Ensure team collaboration, proper planning, execution, delivery, and measure the success of projects so that they meet our goals and critical metrics.
- Develop, facilitate, and maintain consistent and beneficial process methodologies for the teams, driving process and transparency. Coach the team to organize, work cross-functionally, and offer techniques and tools.
- Be extremely detail oriented! Prepare and lead project plans, documentation, work back schedules, and risk mitigation for cross-team initiatives and act as the liaison between teams for deliverables and projects in a dynamic environment. You are the keeper of truth and must keep the trains on track.
- Be a thought-leader, constantly improving how we work, championing a positive culture through working with other project managers throughout the organization.
- Work with teams and individuals to ensure smooth collaboration and resolve issues as needed
About you:
- 5 years marketing project management experience or product marketing experience managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
- A proactive, efficient, and resourceful approach and ability to thrive in a creative, flexible, and ambiguous environment. Must be able to think on the fly and pivot when necessary and drive projects forward
- Outstanding leadership, facilitation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization. Ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment
- Authoritative expectation management skills
- Graceful when working to tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Expert proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive required, as well as various project management tools (particularly SmartSheets)
- Bachelor's degree required
Bonus Points:
- PMP or Scrum certification a plus
