About the Role:

We’re looking for a passionate, talented Sr. Learning Experience Designer to join our Activation & Enablement team. Our team is committed to building engaging programs and experiences aimed at helping sales and partners harness the collective power of communities with Reddit Ads.

We’re looking for a creative and tech-savvy Sr. Learning Experience Designer who has a passion for the written word, thrives at transforming complex subject matter into actionable steps, has experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities (e.g., interactive online learning, videos, virtual classroom design, resources, in-app messaging, and simulations.) You should have proven experience in designing beautiful and meaningful learning experiences aimed at helping sales and partners get their jobs done with confidence.

What You’ll Do:

Learner Analysis & Research

  • Confidently lead user research to identify our customers' pain points and opportunities to help them accelerate their learning curve
  • Comfortably use both quantitative and qualitative needs analysis techniques to prioritize our learning efforts
  • Be an active listener who also knows how to formulate powerful questions to unlock a greater understanding of learning opportunities

Learning Design and Development

  • Translate our customers and business needs into a holistic and relevant curriculum aimed at helping our customers improve their performance with Reddit
  • Properly scope and define outcome-driven learning objectives for our customer learning initiatives
  • Experiment and use trending technologies to create interactive and responsive online courses
  • Partner with subject matter experts and creative team to design and develop beautiful and on-brand online courses, documentation, resources, and in-app learning cues/messages
  • Create formative and summative assessment strategies aimed at helping our customers evaluate their level of comprehension across their learning journey

Writing and Editing 

  • Write high-quality customer-friendly instruction for a variety of learning modalities (e.g., online courses, documentation, resources) 
  • Apply writing and editing skills to write UI text for user navigation, onboarding, and other instructional in-app messages aimed at creating a seamless user experience
  • Effectively organize content in a logical and intuitive manner
  • Have a high standard for grammar and punctuation
  • Anticipate learner’s questions and provide clarity on complex topics 
  • Balance your love for words with the ability to be concise
  • Successfully self-edit and conduct re-writes independently

What We Can Expect From You:

  • B.S. Degree in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience of instructional or technical writing and/or course creation 
  • We would love to see your portfolio of previously executed projects and sample learning experiences
  • Own the design of an experience from end to end and not afraid of starting a program from ground zero 
  • Experience in developing on-demand and in-person learning experiences utilizing user-centered design principles 
  • Strong analytical skills to assess the root cause of the problem and develop the appropriate solution 
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in learning and technology
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong collaborative spirit, open to diverse perspectives, and new ideas
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret and act upon data
  • Genuinely likes helping others and has a service-oriented mindset
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and likes the challenge of building new and innovative things
  • Added bonus: You have experience writing for UI/UX and graphic design
