Your Impact:
Handshake is hiring a Staff Technical Program Manager reporting to the Head of Infrastructure. In this role you will be at the heart of delivering the next generation Handshake platform. Over the years Handshake’s platform has been operated as a monolith, and in order to scale Handshake to hundreds of millions of users, we need to move to a microservices based architecture. This is the most important initiative in engineering and will have a tremendous impact on the business.
Your Role
Support horizontal initiatives that span multiple internal departments
Deliver multiple milestones on the infrastructure roadmap
Establish strong relationships with tech leads and managers across various teams
Present/communicate the team's progress, analysis, and recommendations to executives, and discuss the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers
Proactively communicate blockers and other issues, and work actively to resolve them
Your Experience:
You have led multiple technical programs or projects to a successful release
Experience with leading complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects that spans across 100+ engineers
You have led projects in cloud infrastructure, developer productivity, or platform engineering domains
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs
Remote/async communication skills
Compensation Range:
- $206,250-$220,000
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
