Technical Program Manager (Contract to Hire)

The Role:
Meraki is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to be responsible for managing networking software programs. This position would start out as a contract, with the intention and hope to convert to a hire. Come be part of the new team that delivers groundbreaking products for businesses and organizations of all sizes. As a Software Technical Program Manager, you will work closely with our Software engineering, QA, Product Management, and NPI program teams for software delivery tracking across products.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Build, maintain software program plan with cross-functional dependencies
- Execute and supervise software deliverables, milestones, action items, technical dependencies, risks and mitigation plans
- Craft software project status reporting for Software leaders and NPI program teams
- Understand product use case and communicate technically with engineering teams
- Adhere to metrics and governance for Meraki’s process
- Own the Sprint planning and daily / weekly scrum meeting for tracking as needed
Your Experience:
- 5+ years of demonstrated ability as Program Manager in software/networking/cloud/embedded technologies
- Must have a successful track record of timely delivery of programs
- Strong understanding of software development processes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience working with project planning tools (Excel, Gantt charts, Jira, Wrike, Confluence, Google Docs)
- Proficient in Agile Project Management processes. Should be able to deal well with rapid changes, and feel comfortable navigating uncertain/ambiguous situations
- BONUS: Experience managing switching, routing, wireless router programs
