Brex is building the new global standard for financial services, starting with corporate cards. With backing from top venture firms and industry veterans such as Peter Thiel and Max Levchin, Brex is one of the fastest-growing startups to date, and we’re looking for someone to help scale and maintain the effort for data governance and keep leveling up our data-driven culture. As a technical program manager, you’ll own the end-to-end operations of our data governance ecosystem, including data catalogue, access control for data analytics tools, and sensitive data management. You’ll be working with cross functional teams, including data, engineering, trust and compliance, to help teams to get what they need and maximize their productivity. Based in San Francisco, our team is committed to creating a driven and diverse company with ambitious people from wide-ranging backgrounds.

We are looking for people with a strong background in data operations and leading data governance initiatives. You should have experience in using data and analytics tools, such as data warehouse platforms, data reporting tools, and data tracking tools. You should also be a strong communicator and have a keen customer focus, so you can work cross-functionally with multiple teams and independently design processes and implement processes from end to end. 

Responsibilities:

• Support data governance initiatives internally that enable product and tooling improvements across systems and processes, including fine-grained access controls, data discovery, data processing registry 
• Work closely with the data, compliance and trust teams as well as other stakeholders to deeply understand data governance needs and constraints, and be a guiding voice in architecting the solutions.
• Implement user-friendly processes to provision appropriate access to various teams and individuals, with a balance in data privacy and security, regulation compliance, and enabling efficient product development 
• Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to embed data governance controls and policies across the enterprise.
