About the Role

Our Systems organization is growing and we are looking for talented technical program managers to join Nuro. You will be working on challenging problems alongside a world-class team with a common passion for advancing robotics to improve the human experience.

About the Work

  • Act as the “glue” between key international companies and US-based Nuro teams ensuring effective communication and coordination across diverse groups including hardware engineering (mechanical and electrical), industrial design, vehicle, software, reliability test, manufacturing, supply chain, material planning, and finance to drive key architecture requirements from concept to successful validation on our platform.

  • Work with world-class experts on software algorithms, architecture and design, system and module specifications, evaluation metrics, and implementation test frameworks to validate our autonomous vehicles.

  • Drive the connection of requirements across Autonomy, Hardware, Product, and Operations to develop how our vehicle needs to be designed generation over generation

  • Work with experts and advance the state of the art in areas such as Hardware, Operations, Computer Vision, Perception, Prediction, Machine Learning, Mapping, Planning, and Controls.

  • Drive overall program timelines and milestones as agreed upon with program leads, identify and mitigate risks, resolve dependencies, unblock progress, and escalate issues.

About You

  • BS/MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience

  • Solid understanding of autonomy, vehicle development & launch, testing, verification & validation of features, requirements development & management, and construction of large complex systems

  • History of driving and developing cross-organization requirements for several full lifecycle products

  • Highly collaborative and exceptional communicator. You have depth in autonomy but are comfortable spanning hardware, software, product, operations, and regulations.

  • You are impeccably organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and have strong presentation and multidisciplinary management skills

  • You are passionate about accelerating the benefits of robotics for everyday life

Bonus Points

  • Experience in robotics/autonomous systems in one or more of the following: computer vision, deep disciplinary hardware experience, autonomous vehicle sensors such as LIDAR, sensor placement & fusion, perception, machine learning, motion planning, and control.

  • 2+ years of industry experience designing, writing, and maintaining production-level requirements

  • Experience writing, troubleshooting, and maintaining robust safety-critical requirements for systems

  • Experience reviewing and/or authoring requirements as needed

  • ISO26262 trained
