The Technical Project Manager, Web/eCommerce will be responsible for tracking major programs and initiatives in support of ecommerce platform evolution and organizational alignment. The role will also be responsible for departmental budget management and planning.
Technical Project Manager, Web/eCommerce Duties
- Develop, manage, and document (in the agreed format) all production schedules, milestones, projections, estimates, and budgets for brand projects.
- Deliver project outputs in accordance with project plans, costs, and customer expectations.
- Develop integrated program delivery across ecommerce marketing and technology initiatives identifying, defining, and communicating risks and change requests before taking appropriate action to minimize impact on project success.
- Focus on prevention of slippage and overrun. Early identification of risk with suitable and proactive mitigation plans that are actively managed.
- Manage the test and acceptance process to attain global brand team signoff.
- Serve as primary point of contact amongst cross-functional teams to ensure all project milestones are met and moved along smoothly
- Coordinate organizational programs and alignment across operating functions and lead cross department meetings including agenda setting, action item ownership and follow-up.
- Partner with analytics team to analyze project data and present trends, insights and strategic recommendations
- Manage web & ecommerce budget tracking, forecasting and annual planning process.
- Reporting into the Director of Program Management on the Global Web and eCommerce team, coordinate input from all project members, ensuring individual project tasks are assigned to team members. Hold regular meetings to monitor progress, and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
- Ensure that all work is produced in accordance with appropriate processes and that opportunities for improvement are identified and agreed upon.
- Ensure the project tracker is updated and maintained.
- Attend regular project meetings to report project progress.
- Serve as main POC for development agency and manage backlog of work including establishing a regular release cadence
Requirements
- Experience working in Agile Methodology
- Experience working within teams building ecommerce systems or other high-availability web-based applications
- Experience with issue and bug management systems such as the Atlassian suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and project management tools such as (Wrike, Airtable, etc.)
- 7+ years of digital and technical project management experience managing projects through the entire lifecycle, from inception to go live
- Experience working on global programs with teams spanning multiple countries and time zones.
- Solid understanding of the ecommerce landscape, including ecommerce platforms and relevant integrations with other systems, analytics,
- Ecommerce project management experience, either within an agency, systems integration consultancy, or online/digital department of an established retail brand
- Project management experience in software development or systems integration working on medium-sized and/or complex projects
- Military experience a plus
