WHAT WE DO

Postmates relies heavily on our engineering team to realize this vision. Building a software platform that is reliable, scales, and stays agile under demanding product needs is a serious technical challenge. Postmates is a three-part balancing act connecting customers, merchants, and couriers in real-time. If any piece is out of whack, the whole system suffers. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Postmates Product team works on systems that provide the foundation for all of Postmates’ business. As a Technical Project Manager for Product, you will partner with engineers and product managers to drive key projects in the engineering domain and deliver them on time, on budget, and with high quality. You’ll own project planning, scoping and execution, facilitate communication up, down, and sideways, and drive decision making for the project. You’ll represent your projects to executives and work with them on prioritization and escalations. You’ll be working on some of the most important projects in the company, and have the opportunity to make a huge impact on Postmates’ success. Every day you’ll be making our services and our processes better!

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Drive to get things done
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering or technical project management
• Ability to drive alignment, prioritization, and planning activities across  a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong problem solving, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Experience building roadmaps, release plans, project plans while managing dependencies and with a strong attention to details
• Experience delivering projects in large-scale, distributed production systems and 24x7 production environment
• Ability to manage many competing priorities and constant reprioritization
• Demonstrated ability to manage external/third party dependencies in complex projects
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where teams are empowered to make their own decisions
• Expertise in software project management tools such as JIRA or Aha
• Process oriented but flexible in approach

• CSM certification
• Experience with Github
