This position is through Upwork’s Talent Innovation Program (TIP). Our TIP team is a global group of professionals that augment Upwork’s business. Our TIP team members are located all over the world.

An Upwork Program Manager is the human layer between the Upwork platform and Upwork’s Enterprise clients. As a Program Manager, you will provide white-glove service and strategic consultation for program activities, providing project and talent-based consultative guidance.  If you love task switching and balancing multiple clients with projects in multiple stages of completion, this role is a great fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and responsibility for leading individual client projects, by actively participating in client intake calls
- Provide consultative support to clients in order to assist them with prioritization of successful projects
- Lead the compliance management process for assigned client groups to ensure project-specific processes and procedures are met
- Runs internal relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure client success
Must Haves (Required Skills):
- Experience supporting a variety of clients over your career (preference for Fortune 500)
- Proven program management, project management and/or operational experience and large program administration, including experience working with distributed teams
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, as well as highly refined interpersonal skills. (other languages are also a plus)
- Experience leading technical projects and working with developers directly
- Experience working with several projects/large tasks at the same time
- Familiarity with big data and cloud-based solutions
- Familiarity with multiple Operating Systems
- Able to work full-time during CST or PST business hours
Nice to Haves (Not Required):
- An active Upwork platform account (preference for some active contracts)
- Advanced knowledge of the Upwork platform
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with one, or more, programming languages (ex: Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
- Prior experience with web and mobile app development, any ETL experience and an overall understanding of backend/databases
- Experience with cloud-based solutions using MSFT, AWS, etc.
